Ask for a Visit
Did you know that you can ask for a visit by Raggedy Ann or Raggedy Andy?
If your loved ones are ever hospitalized in the south coast area of Santa Barbara County, or if they are in a nursing home in this area – you can contact Adventures in Caring and we will send a Raggedy volunteer to visit them.
Such visits offer a lifeline of hope in the long, lonely hours during an illness.
Our Raggedy volunteers are very good listeners. They are highly skilled at connecting with people and lifting their spirits, even in the worst of times. Having a friend stop by, in the guise of Raggedy Ann or Raggedy Andy, can make someone’s day.

Nurses, physicians, friends, family, and anyone else who wants to say “I care” can extend their care through the Raggedys. We will pass along a short message and be a great companion. It’s the next best thing to being there yourself.
There is no charge for this service. We offer it free on behalf of all the wonderful people who make Adventures in Caring possible, because we want to make the medicine of compassion available to everyone who needs it.
To continue to make this service available we simply ask for a donation – so that other families may also benefit from such caring moments.
